The Group continued discussions on the proposed Early Warning Mechanism and on the Rules of Conciliation for transit disputes. Presentations focused on recent developments related to infrastructure projects and strategies, including updates on the CASA-1000 and TAPI projects. In light of its upcoming Energy Charter chairmanship, Georgia presented its flagship initiative on regional electricity cooperation in South Caucasus.

The Group also discussed trade issues, including cooperation with the World Trade Organization (WTO) on promoting the Environmental Goods Agreement and the possibility of a technical modification of Annex W to the Energy Charter Treaty (Annex W covers exceptions and rules governing the application the WTO Agreement).

The Secretariat updated the Group on the upcoming events, such as the WTO Public Forum, Bratislava Energy Charter Forum and Ashgabat Energy Charter Forum.
