Bosnia and Herzegovina ratified the Energy Charter Treaty and the Protocol on Energy Efficiency and Related Environmental Aspects in January 2001. In fulfilment of its commitments, Bosnia and Herzegovina presented one Combined Report on Investment Climate and Market Structure in 2002.

This follow-up report is the second for the country and its preparation was motivated inter alia by the need to reflect all relevant changes that have taken place in the country since 2002. The document covers mainly the period of 2002-2009 and is based on the latest publicly available data for Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Undertaken on a peer review basis, this publication serves the purpose of information sharing and cooperation among the ECT member states. The report contains updated information on the development of the Bosnia and Herzegovina national economy, basic foreign direct investment statistics, analysis of the country's legal framework, as well as a review of the investment climate and market structure in the energy sector of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

The Review of the Investment Climate and Market Structure in the Energy Sector of Bosnia and Herzegovina is available in English.
