The Energy Charter Secretariat in cooperation with the Ministry of Energy and Industry of Albania and the Secretariat of the Union for the Mediterranean organised the Fourth International Meeting of Experts on Reliable and Stable Transit of Energy on 13 July 2016 in Tirana, Albania. The Meeting served as a platform to discuss the role of transit in global and regional energy security and focused on the integration of energy markets in the Euro-Mediterranean.
This event came as a follow-up to the work initiated in cooperation with the Government of Turkmenistan under the UN General Assembly Resolution 67/263 “Reliable and stable transit of energy and its role in ensuring sustainable development and international cooperation”. The aim of the Meeting was to facilitate a policy debate within the expert community on reliable and stable transit of energy and to share best practices and lessons learnt.
