The Energy Charter Secretariat is pleased to announce that the third meeting of the Energy Charter Industry Advisory Panel (IAP) in 2017 will be held in Beijing, China on 28 September as a full day event (09:00-17:00)

The meeting will be hosted by Electric Power Planning & Engineering Institute (EPPEI), the regional IAP Chair for Asia. The event will take place in Gehua New Century Hotel Beijing (No. 19 Gulouwai Street, Chaoyang District, Beijing) and will be followed by a dinner hosted by EPPEI.


Promoting energy integration and infrastructure interconnection in Asia

The meeting will address current challenges for energy security in China and Asia:

  • Drivers and policy implications of new market design in China
  • Improving access for foreign investors to China's energy sector
  • Foreign Investment in China's renewable energy sector
  • Managing low-carbon transition in AsiaFinancing large-scale energy infrastructure in Asia
  • Chinese overseas investment - China's emergence as a capital exporter
  • The role of the Energy Charter Treaty in China's multilateral policy and overseas investment

Participation is open to members and non-members of the IAP. Entrance is free of charge. Registrations are taken on a first-come, first-served basis and accepted until 22 September.
