The International Energy Charter in cooperation with the Chinese University of Hong Kong and Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung (KAS RECAP Hong Kong) presents the 13th Regional Energy Cooperation in Asia (RECA) meeting, 23-25 February 2017, Hong Kong

The topic of “Regulation of Energy Investments along the ‘Belt and Road,” will be the main focus. The event will bring together leading experts from governments, academia and business to exchange their views on the policy and legal aspects governing the implementation of Chinese foreign energy investments, with a specific focus on investments in the Central Asian, Russian and European Union (EU) energy infrastructure. The aim is to reflect upon the energy policy objectives of the “Belt and Road” initiative, and critically discuss the rule of law for the achievement of China’s energy security under this initiative.
