The Ministry of Energy and Industry of the Kyrgyz Republic and the Energy Charter Secretariat are co-organising the 11th meeting of the Energy Charter Task Force on Regional Energy Cooperation in Central and South Asia (RECA), which will be held on 25 September 2015 at Issyk-Kul lake, Kyrgyzstan. The meeting will bring together the delegates from the member countries, regional and international organisations as well as observers from governments, businesses and academic institutions. 

This Task Force was launched in 2007 by the governments of Afghanistan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Pakistan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, and Uzbekistan in order to facilitate political dialogue to promote regional energy cooperation. Mongolia has also been an active participant of this Task Force since 2010. The meeting will focus on regional energy cooperation issues, including cross-border electricity trade, transit of energy resources and infrastructure projects to enhance integration of energy markets within Central and South Asia.
