The Conference was a final event to summarise the achievements of Turkmenistan to promote stability and peace in the frame of earlier declared Year of Neutrality and Peace. The Secretary General in his address stressed the role of Turkmenistan in pursuing international cooperation, particularly in the field of energy. He referred to joint activities of the Government of Turkmenistan and the Energy Charter on promoting common rules for stable and reliable transit of energy resources. On the margins of the Conference, the Secretary General met with high-level government officials to discuss joint activities in 2016.
