This report was prepared by the Ministry of Energy and Natural Resources of the Republic of Armenia in close cooperation with the Energy Charter Secretariat.
Deputy Minister Levon Shahverdyan opened the meeting by presenting the importance of the report for Armenia. Mr. Steivan Defilla, Director of the Energy Charter Secretariat, summarised the conclusions and recommendations of the report which would help policy makers to improve investment climate in Armenia and attract investments to diversify sources of energy supply. During the questions and answers sessions, the need to bridge the gap after the planned decommissioning of the nuclear power station in 2017 was addressed.
After the presentation, the Energy Charter Secretariat delegation discussed bilateral cooperation issues between Armenia and the Energy Charter Secretariat with the Deputy Minister Levon Shahverdyan.
