Director Defilla also had an introductory meeting with the Executive President Mr. Yang Kun and with the Executive Director General Mr. Wu Tianrong of the China Electricity Council (CEC) in Beijing. The CEC is the association of all major electricity stakeholders of China. Both sides exposed the current developments in their respective areas of activity and analysed subjects of future cooperation.
During his visit to Beijing Director Defilla also met Ms. Xiyan Zhang, the Vice-Secretary General of the International Green Economy Association (IGEA) and the General Manager of the Green Business Opportunities Access to China (GBO-China), China’s first B2B commercial platform for global green technology cooperation and providing assistance and support for the world’s leading renewable energy, environment, agriculture and other areas of green technology to the Chinese market and international cooperation of Chinese enterprises. The two sides discussed cooperation with the Energy Charter and with its Industry Advisory Panel (IAP). IGEA is a consultant to the United Nations ECOSOC and is a member of the UN Global Compact.
