On 10 July 2025, the participants of the Vrije University Brussels (VUB)’s Diplomatic Academy, from the Republic of China, led by Professor Wan-li Wang of VUB and joined by Dr. Weifang Chen of the Tunghai University and the Dean of Office of International Affairs of shih Hsin University, Dr. Chumeng Wu, visited the Energy Charter Secretariat and met the Acting Secretary-General, Ms. Atsuko Hirose.  

The participants had a liverly interaction with Ms. Hirose, discussing the Energy Charter Treaty and its recent amendments, and the work of the Secretariat, including its flagship publication, the Energy Investment Risk Assessment (EIRA).
