Representatives of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan visited the Energy Charter Secretariat

On 15 November 2021, the Deputy Secretary-General of the International Energy Charter, Ms Atsuko Hirose, received the Director of the Department of Multilateral Cooperation of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Mr Didar Temenov.

At the beginning of the meeting, Deputy Secretary-General noted the active role of the Republic of Kazakhstan in the Energy Charter Process, in particular, in the Treaty modernization process and in the meetings of Energy Charter Conference’s subsidiary bodies.

During the meeting, Mr Temenov shared and reflected upon the most pressing issues of the Republic of Kazakhstan in the energy sector in light of the energy transition. The parties exchanged views on  further development and deepening of relations between the Energy Charter and Kazakhstan.

By the end of the meeting, the parties exchanged warm wishes and expressed their commitment to further fruitful cooperation. Mr Temenov was accompanied by Dr Almas Dissyukov, Economic Counsellor of the Mission of the Republic of Kazakhstan to the European Union.
