On 25 September 2022, Deputy Secretary-General, Ms Atsuko Hirose, attended the Mongolia – EU Cultural Day celebration hosted by H.E. Mr. Luvsanvandan Bold, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Mongolia to the Kingdom of Belgium, Kingdom of the Netherlands and Grand Duchy of Luxembourg, and Head of the Mission of Mongolia to the European Union. The event, which included a performance by the Mongolian Grand Theatre of National Art, was attended by many ambassadors, diplomatic representatives and government officials.
Deputy Secretary-General discussed with Ambassador Bold and his colleagues the forthcoming Energy Charter Conference scheduled in November 2022 in Ulaanbaatar. Ambassador mentioned that Mongolia is looking forward to welcoming delegates of the Energy Charter Treaty to Mongolia, where they may also have the opportunity to see cultural performances on the ground.
Deputy Secretary-General also met with Mr Margulan Baimukhan, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Kazakhstan to the Kingdom of Belgium, Head of Mission to the European Union and the North Atlantic Treaty Organisation, and discussed the upcoming joint events.
