The Government of the Portuguese Republic, serving as the Depositary of the Energy Charter Treaty (ECT) and the Energy Charter Protocol on Energy Efficiency and Related Environmental Aspects (PEEREA) until 2 February 2025, has confirmed the receipt of a notification from the Kingdom of Norway of its intention not to become a Contracting Party to the ECT and the PEEREA on 12 November 2024.
