On 12 June 2025, Acting Secretary-General, Ms. Atsuko Hirose, met with the Deputy Minister of Territorial Administration and Infrastructure of the Republic of Armenia, H. E. Mr. Asatur Vardanyan, on the margins of the International Energy Agency's 10th Global Energy Efficiency Conference, co-hosted with the European Commission and taking place in Brussels, Belgium. 

The parties discussed the continued cooperation between Armenia and the Energy Charter Secretariat going forward.
