On 10 April 2025, Acting Secretary-General, Ms. Atsuko Hirose, met with Deputy Foreign Minister of the Republic Türkiye, H.E. Ambassador A. Berris Ekinci, on the margins of the Antalya Diplomacy Forum.   

The Deputy Foreign Minister and the Acting Secretary-General discussed the latest developments regarding the Energy Charter Treaty, in particular the amendments to the Treaty adopted at the Energy Charter Conference in December 2024.  The parties re-affirmed continued cooperation between Türkiye and the Secretariat going forward.
