The EU4Energy Governance component of the EU4Energy Initiative is carried out in the six countries of the Eastern Partnership, all of which have signed the Energy Charter Treaty and are Energy Charter Conference members.
The institutional setup of the EU4Energy Initiative comprises several international organistions working in the field of energy cooperation.

The Legal Coordinator for the Knowledge Centre, Vitali Hiarouski, contributed to the Euro School in Azerbaijan by holding an interactive learning session on sustainable development, energy, and its international legal framework in coordination with officials of the EU4Energy programme.
In Minsk, the Energy Charter Secretariat kicks off the first meeting of the task-force for scaling up investments in energy efficiency in Belarus. The group convenes key decision-makers and decision makers from the Ministry of Energy and other state entities, the energy sector and international financial institutions among others.
In Yerevan, Armenia, the Investment team of the Energy Charter Secretariat conducts a fact-finding mission to assess investment risks in the Armenian energy sector. This primary information will be used in the 2017 report "Energy Investment Risk Assessment".
As part of its assessment of investment risks in the Armenian energy sector, the investment team of the Energy Charter Secretariat meets with Deputy Minister Hayk Harutyunyan of the Ministry of Energy Infrastructures and Natural Resources of the Republic of Armenia.
At an inter-ministerial meeting in Baku, Azerbaijan, the Energy Charter Secretariat meets with the Ministry of Energy and other key stakeholders to discuss the drafting of a new law on energy efficiency.
