Following a comprehensive assessment of the institutional, legislative and regulatory environment of the Belarus energy sector - as well as consultations with national authorities, the EU Delegation to Belarus and other stakeholders - EU4Energy Governance activities this year consist of the following:
- Assisting with the elaboration of legislation on a competitive electricity market taking into account energy regulations within the European Union and the Eurasian Union;
- Scaling up investments in energy efficiency by identifying legal and regulatory barriers hindering investment;
- Supporting technical capacity-building in public institutions dealing with energy policy.
