Armenia Country Work Programme for 2017

Following a comprehensive assessment of the institutional, legislative and regulatory environment of the Armenian energy sector--as well as consultations with national authorities, the EU Delegation to Armenia and other stakeholders--EU4Energy Governance activities this year consist of the following:

  • Buttressing rules and regulations for energy efficiency in buildings and energy-related products;
  • Identifying legal and regulatory risks hindering investments in the energy sector;
  • Supporting technical capacity-building in public institutions dealing with energy policy.

SEPTEMBER 2017 - In Yerevan, Armenia, the Energy Charter Secretariat facilitates a discussion on improving the energy efficiency policies for buildings and the enforcement minimum energy performance standards.
MAY 2017 - As part of its assessment of investment risks in the Armenian energy sector, the investment team of the Energy Charter Secretariat meets with Deputy Minister Hayk Harutyunyan of the Ministry of Energy Infrastructures and Natural Resources of the Republic of Armenia.
