Secretary General meets Minister of Natural Resources and Energy of Swaziland

The Energy Charter Secretary General Dr Urban Rusnák met with H.E. Honourable Senator Jabulile Mashwama, the Minister of Natural Resources and Energy of the Kingdom of Swaziland. The Southern African country is determined to move forward in the Energy Charter Process and the Energy Charter Secretariat in Brussels is currently hosting a senior official from Mbabane working on accession reports.

Swaziland is a gateway to access the Southern African Development Community (SADC) regional energy market.

The bilateral meeting took place in the margins of the "The Growing Economies Energy Forum" on 22-23 June 2016 in London, where Dr Rusnák participated in a panel devoted to Iran, which allowed him to report and answer questions about his recent mission to Tehran. The Energy Charter was also invited to speak at the panel on the Pacific Alliance with country representatives from Mexico and Peru.
